VP Curb Jam 2021

We did it! We threw a curb contest this past Saturday at Thomas Greene Playground featuring a brand new curb created by master skate obstacle creator Pat Smith.

A ton of sick tricks went down, including a few very unexpected combo tricks. After some fierce debate amongst the council of judges, Duncan Rowland emerged as Second Place winner for surfing through several wild maneuvers, including one where he rode out and narrowly dodged another contestant. Ted Schmitz was crowned First Place winner, peep the ender in the video above and you’ll see why we had no choice but to choose him as champion of the day.

It was a great time, thanks to everyone who came to skate and hang out. Special thanks to Park Deli for the prizes and to Pat Smith for making the curb a reality. Also shout out to Cody Rosenthal for helping Pat construct the curb only to destroy it at the contest.

And… now there’s a new curb at Thomas Greene to skate whenever you want!

Some watched, some skated. All were given a La Croix. Christian Kerr put that $2.50 up for the first person to do a fandangle.
