Adam Abada in Kevin Horn's 'Perennial'
“It’s a skate video by our friend from Minnesota starring our friends from New Jersey that was filmed in LA.” This is how we’ve been describing Kevin Horn’s new video Perennial, which we were honored to premiere last month at The Palace in Brooklyn. With Perennial, Kevin continues his tradition of making a skate video every 7 years. The energy cultivated through this process is apparent in its products – the friendships built, the unforgettable sessions, the outfit choices (a lot changes in 7 years). Kevin has become masterful at not just documenting skateboarding, but at creating rich portraits of the chapters of his life and the lives of those he’s surrounded by.
Adam Abada, designer our latest shirt and old friend of Village Psychic, has a standout part from Perennial that we’re proud to share today.
DVDs of Perennial here, but be warned: Do NOT purchase if you hate VX2100 filming executed with immaculately selected camera settings, a 10/10 soundtrack, Kareem Campbell homages and Mike Lemnitzer going absolutely crazy in the last part.
